Research with the source attached

Use official labour, occupation, and disclosure data as a baseline. Publish a Refresh result only after the observed records, denominator, date, and exclusions are ready.

What can official sources answer now, and what still requires observed Refresh data?

A vacancy count, hiring trend, salary, or employer-specific requirement.

That every company has SEC filings or that a filing confirms workplace quality.

How the data is handled

  1. Start with the authority

Link the agency page that defines the dataset before summarising a number or term.

  2. Keep unlike data apart

Do not merge occupations, geographies, filing periods, currencies, or sample units until a documented crosswalk exists.

  3. Publish the denominator

Every percentage needs its eligible record count, exclusions, observation date, and calculation rule.

Definitions that travel with the result

Official baseline
A published definition or statistic from the agency responsible for the source.
Observed result
A result calculated from a dated, documented set of Refresh records. It is not available merely because a landing page exists.
Reference period
The time period represented by a value, kept separate from the date Refresh retrieved it.

Awaiting observed data
Method and sources are available. No observed Refresh result has been published for this question.

What this data cannot establish

  • No Refresh user, resume, job, application, or outcome count is included in this layer.
  • Official data can define context; it cannot supply a Refresh product result or predict an individual hiring outcome.

How to use it

  • Read the definition and reference period before comparing a value.
  • Open the source link when a number affects a career or application decision.
