Who We Are: We’re looking for an Associate Brand Strategist who excels at crafting audience-centric ideas, strategies, and creative recommendations. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who can light up a room as a storyteller, bring collaborative energy, and deliver impactful results for our clients - and X’s business. The Brand Strategist partners with the top brands in the world. Strategists on the Next team pitch and produce campaigns that are insights-driven, measurable, on-brand, and creative. Our best work delivers on our clients' KPIs and creates a memorable experience for people on X.

What You'll Do:
On a day-to-day basis, you'll leverage deep knowledge of the platform to brainstorm, develop, and deliver unique recommendations for how brands can show up on X. You’ll lead projects, working with Next members and the Sales Team to dive deep into platform behavior, and collaborate with global technologists and vendors to pitch wholly custom solutions. This will require you to work closely also with cross-functional teams within our organization; and pitch directly to brands and agencies. Responsibilities include:

Understanding a brand’s unique challenges and developing a narrative that makes them feel heard, delivering against key objectives, whilst highlighting the creative potential and measurable value of the X platform

Crafting compelling story lines and insight-supported ideas to build persuasive pitches for our customers

Leveraging local market knowledge and adapt brand narratives and communication style according to business needs in Japan

Managing the expectations of all stakeholders through transparent and proactive communications internally and externally

Running creative brainstorms and workshops to develop innovative and creative solutions

Coordinating projects across different clients maturities when it comes to X platform knowledge and creative competencies

Become an embedded partner to the Japan sales teams, both reactively and proactively working to drive the business forward.
Who You Are:
Requirements
Minimum 4+ years experience in either Brand Strategy, Strategic Planning, Communication Planning, Marketing Planning, Creative role at an ad agency, on the client-side, or at a tech company/platform (multi-disciplinary experience preferred)

In-depth knowledge of X and the social media landscape as both a user and as a marketer, including an understanding of our platform's promoted products and overall advertising model

Experience in delivering compelling creative strategies and breakthrough creative ideas that drive brand awareness and high user engagement

Proven ability to craft insights through quantitative data and a qualitative understanding of people

Experience leading end-to-end projects and managing clients, accounts, and cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to leave an impactful impression through presentations and pitches

Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
-
Fluent-level Japanese and business-level English
-
Effective time and project management skills

Ability to adapt to change and handle evolving situations.

Proactively identify challenges and create solutions or tasks independently.
Experience / Technical Training
-
Experience with Keynote, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Powerpoint and Excel

Experience with Design and Design Tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus
-
Experience with Social listening data is a plus
