Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Marketing to lead our dynamic team covering both Retail (B2C) and Foodservice (B2B) products.
As a leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, increase market share, and ultimately contribute to the company's overall growth and success.
You will be a part of the executive leadership team (ELT) and managing both Japan and Korea market.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our products (Heinz, Kraft, Ore Ida), enhance brand visibility, and drive sales growth. Lead and manage a team of approx. 20 marketing professionals in both Japan and Korea, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscape, providing valuable insights for decision-making. Oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, television, social media, and other relevant platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, sales, and operations to ensure effective product launches, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Monitor marketing performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to assess campaign effectiveness, ROI, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and stay ahead of competitors. Manage relationships with external stakeholders like agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure effective delivery of marketing initiatives and maximize brand exposure. Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, visual aesthetics, and adherence to brand guidelines. Drive customer acquisition and retention efforts through targeted marketing activities, customer segmentation, and personalized campaigns. Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies, marketing collateral, and sales enablement materials that support their efforts and drive revenue growth. Manage the marketing budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation to achieve marketing objectives within budgetary constraints.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in marketing role within the consumer goods industry, preferred in food.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, market research, and consumer behavior and apply this to product development.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and analytics tools to drive marketing performance.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful marketing strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets and KPIs.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with budget management and financial acumen to drive cost-effective marketing initiatives.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English proficiency
