Morgan Asset Management Japan (JPMAMJ) as the top-of-mind and most considered foreign asset manager in Japan through innovative, customer-centric marketing. Japan Channel Marketing acts as the command center, formulating and executing integrated strategies using global thought-leadership content, digital platforms, media, PR, influencers, events, and more. We aim to provide new client experiences, establish JPMAMJ as a marketing leader, and build trust with clients, business partners, and end-investors. The team continuously explores new ways to delight customers, leveraging global best practices and cutting-edge technology to deliver unique solutions.
As Vice President within Japan Channel Marketing, you will collaborate closely with the Japan business stakeholders, distribution teams, and regional marketing to elevate brand awareness and accelerate business growth. You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Your role will encompass a wide range of marketing activities, including campaign management, event execution, and digital engagement, to enhance client relationships and drive results. You will report to the Japan Marketing Head.
Job Responsibilities
- Set clear goals and success metrics aligned with channel marketing priorities and local business objectives.
- Develop and execute channel marketing strategies to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Build brand awareness as a leading global asset manager and ETF provider in Japan.
- Lead marketing campaigns for client acquisition and relationship management.
- Promote product diversification to support sales conversion.
- Plan and execute digital marketing initiatives—including social media management, web advertising, and email marketing—to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Leverage technology and data to differentiate our offerings and accelerate growth.
- Manage corporate communications and public relations in the local market, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and crisis communications as needed.
- Conduct market research to monitor brand and marketing performance against competitors.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor degree or higher in business, marketing or equivalent with demonstrated marketing experience and success as a marketer in the industry
- Minimum of 6 years of investment/financial marketing experience, with solid understanding of financial or asset management industry, products and customer behavior
- Extensive marketing experience with a proven track record of driving business growth
- Demonstrated success in transforming business and marketing through data and digital innovation
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts across teams across markets
- Excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to coordinate marketing projects with multiple departments
- Strategic thinker with excellent execution skills, strong business acumen and results-oriented mindset
- Effective communicator across all organizational levels and cultures, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of digital integrated marketing (salesforce marketing cloud, social media, digital platform)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a client-focused approach
- Fluency in both Japanese and English at a business level or higher
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Public relations experience in the financial industry
