The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all maintenance activities within the warehouse to ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for maintenance requests, preventive maintenance planning, vendor coordinator and facility upkeep. The Maintenance Coordinator ensures all equipment, building systems and infrastructure are properly maintained in compliance with company standards, safety regulations and operational requirements.

Aurora, ILESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the central coordinator for all warehouse maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements.

Create, manage, and update maintenance work orders, logs, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Prioritize maintenance needs based on operational impact, safety requirements, and resource availability.

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to schedule repairs, inspections, and service activities.

Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.

Ensure all maintenance work follows OSHA, company safety policies, and regulatory standards.

Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, recommending corrective actions, and assisting with equipment lifecycle planning

Communicate maintenance updates, equipment downtime, and completion timelines to warehouse leadership and relevant stakeholders.

- Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with managers, employees, customers, and vendors at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work will take place at a desk in an office environment but will require work in normal production or warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
- Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$17 - $27
