North America Network Planning Analyst, Energy
职位介绍
What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and self-driven Network Planning Analyst to play a critical role in the design, optimization, and expansion of our global Energy distribution network. You will be a key individual contributor responsible for analyzing and recommending where Tesla Energy should open new distribution sites, service hubs, forward stocking locations, and regional warehouses. Your work will directly influence network decisions based on access, transportation efficiency, service levels, cost optimization, capacity, and alignment with Tesla’s aggressive growth strategy for Powerwall, Megapack, Solar, and the full energy portfolio.
You will work autonomously with high ownership while collaborating cross-functionally with global supply chain, warehousing, material planning, service, finance, and engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and continuous refinement of Tesla Energy’s global and regional distribution network strategy to support high-volume service and rapid business growth
- Perform advanced network modeling, demand forecasting, scenario analysis, and optimization studies to recommend optimal new site locations balancing access, service SLAs, costs, and long-term growth plans
- Build and maintain sophisticated analytical models for facility location, capacity planning, multi-echelon inventory, and “what-if” simulations that drive network expansion decisions
- Independently analyze current network performance to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and service level improvements
- Partner with supply chain leadership to define strategic objectives and contribute to the multi-year logistics roadmap
- Support strategic evaluation and setup of new high-volume distribution locations, including transportation and import/export optimization
- Pull data from internal databases, develop executive dashboards, deliver actionable insights, and drive network process improvements
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of progressive experience in supply chain network planning, distribution strategy, logistics analytics, or facility location optimization
- Strong expertise in network design, transportation analysis, service optimization, and cost modeling
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Tableau (or equivalent BI tools); Python/R or network optimization tools is a plus
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and deliver high-impact results in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success presenting complex findings clearly and persuasively to leadership
