Distributed Systems Engineer, Build Infrastructure
职位介绍
What to Expect
Tesla vehicles get better through software long after they leave the factory. Turning that into a sustained advantage means thousands of engineers must be able to take new ideas through build, test, and packaging without the underlying systems becoming a bottleneck. When those shared systems slow down or grow unreliable, the entire organization loses momentum and the rate of real-world improvement drops. The Build Infrastructure team exists to keep that from happening by running a high-availability distributed compute platform across large clusters of machines. In this role you’ll design and optimize the platform, schedulers, and frameworks that determine how efficiently every workload runs—directly shaping how quickly new capabilities reach the road and how rapidly the software behind autonomy can advance.
What You’ll Do
- Work on building a distributed compute system, running code on hundreds of bare metal & cloud servers
- Make code more efficient to run, optimizing resources across the cluster, and speeding up the compute workloads we face
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Excellent knowledge of any modern programming language (Golang, C++, Python, Rust, Ruby, etc.)
- Strong Linux knowledge
- Experience with distributed compute systems (k8s, Slurm, LSF, etc.) or distributed architectures
- Knowledge of messaging services (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, etc.)
