Senior Engineer – Full Stack (Risk & Compliance Platform)Role Overview
Join the TES Legal Tech – Risk & Compliance engineering team to build and enhance platforms that support Target's governance, risk, compliance, and legal operations. Our applications enable critical business capabilities through modern, cloud-native technologies including Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, React, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll partner with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while helping modernize our platform and drive innovation, including GenAI-enabled capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications and backend services.
• Build APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Contribute to system design and platform modernization.
• Deliver secure, reliable, and observable software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
• Support production systems and improve reliability and performance.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to GenAI-enabled solutions and innovation

About you Must Have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience participating in system design, code reviews, and production support.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, GraphQL, Golang, Redis, Elasticsearch, or cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with observability, CI/CD, or Dev Sec Ops practices.
• Exposure to GenAI, Python, LLM integrations, AI agents, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience working in Risk & Compliance, Legal Tech, Governance, or other regulated enterprise domains.
