Location: Raleigh, NC Reports to: US IA Training Manager The Industrial Automation Trainer is responsible for developing, updating, and adapting training materials focused on Industrial Automation (HMIs, Industrial PCs, visualization software, and operator interface systems). Training is designed for distributor and internal sales teams, technical sales, product application engineers, field service, and technical/commercial trainers. This role ensures all learning programs provide the technical knowledge and commercial acumen needed to position, select, configure, and sell industrial automation (including HMI/IPC) solutions across key industrial segments. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design, implement, and conduct training sessions on Industrial Automation product lines, HMI/IPC platforms, visualization software, system architectures, concepts, product portfolio, applications, and segments, where to play, sales strategies, competitive positioning, value propositions, among others. Target Audience: Train distributor and Schneider Electric sales and technical teams Training Formats: Provide training through in-person workshops, webinars, e-learning modules, videos. The use of virtual and physical demo units will be required to guarantee the best learning experience Content Development: Create training materials, including presentations tailored to learner roles while making continuous improvements Collect training feedback: Assess training effectiveness through feedback knowledge retention evaluations, analyzing learner performance, and implement continuous improvements in curricula. Collaboration: Collaborate with Offer Management, R&D, Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to ensure alignment with portfolio updates and market needs. Market Awareness: Stay current on industry trends and competitive HMI/IPC offers to ensure training content remains technically accurate and market relevant. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science software or related degrees or comparable experience. Proficient in English (Level C1) Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of Industrial HMIs, IPC architectures, industrial networking, and visualization software Experience working in industrial automation, HMI/SCADA systems, or related training/technical sales roles (5+ years preferred). Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple, compelling way with a strong background in commercial training, sales enablement, or technical sales. Sales Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how HMI and IPC solutions are positioned and sold. Familiarity with common cybersecurity best practices, and industrial communication standards (such as: Modbus TCP, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, IEC 62443 for Industrial Automation and Control Systems; UL508 / UL508A, IEC 61131-3 and NEMA ICS (industrial control systems)). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital learning tools. Travel Required: This role requires travel (approx. 20%) to various locations in the US. Let us learn about you! Apply today.
