Job Description:

As part of Clearpath Robotics by Rockwell Automation Manufacturing team, you will take charge of assembling a variety of different platforms and ensuring that we perpetually work toward a higher level of quality. You will assemble our primary products along with their accessories. You will contribute to a team dedicated to seeing a robotic platform from start to finish. Additionally, when you are not wrenchin' down screws, you will task yourself with maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the production area.

You will work onsite in Waterloo, ON and will report to Manager, Manufacturing Operations. This role is open due to a new vacancy.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Electromechanical Assembly of robotic platforms
  • Use hand tools
  • Use hoisting equipment
  • Cable installation and wire routing
  • Rotate throughout different assembly stations to achieve cross-training among team members
  • Ensuring your workspace follows 5S guidelines
  • Use a computer for work instructions with VKS system
  • Production area maintenance
  • Production equipment maintenance
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

The Essentials

You Will Have:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred

You Might Also Have:

  • Experience working on manual product assembly
  • Wiring or cable installation experience
  • Hands-on experience with common tools, eg, screwdriver, allen keys
  • Experience with torque tools
  • Work the hours of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Follow written assembly work instructions in English
  • Comfortable with abrupt changes to project deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $18-32/hourly. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.

The start date and end date of the coop term is 4 months.
