Mechanical Engineer - AI Server&Rack Systems

Responsibilities and Opportunities

• Deliver impactful results at a fast pace across a diverse product portfolio
• Provide critical thermal insights and reliable test results to support well-informed product design decisions
• Plan, conduct, and analyze empirical thermal experiments to validate simulations
• Drive product and system mechanical design from concept through mass production
• Conduct hands-on DFA evaluations on physical hardware to identify assembly bottlenecks and drive design optimization
• Perform mechanical design verification (DV), root cause analysis, and design optimization to ensure reliability and manufacturability
• Support system integration, prototype build, and validation activities for HPC and AI server platforms

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical and/or thermal design, analysis, and validation experience in HPC, server, or consumer electronics systems.
• Hands-on experience assembling, disassembling, and validating HPC/AI/rack/enterprise server hardware, including air- or liquid-cooling thermal modules
• Strong experience with design verification (DV), prototype validation, and design troubleshooting
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)
• Experience with computational thermal simulation software (Icepak or FloTHERM preferred)
• Familiarity with DFM and DFA methodologies

Ideal Qualifications

• Proven experience designing thermal/mechanical solutions for HPC products, including CPU, GPU, and NPU platforms
• Hands-on experience designing, validating, or optimizing liquid cooling systems
• Extensive teardown, assembly, debugging, and testing experience with servers, rack systems, consumer electronics, or robotics platforms
• Experience with rack-level system integration, server bring-up, and hardware validation in data center or high-power thermal test environments
• Knowledge of airflow optimization and cooling solution design is a strong plus
