Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular travel both locally and interstate at well-established fully operational sites. (On average two to three week travel blocks for max 5 times per year)
  • Carry out operational, planned, and corrective maintenance on a variety of Threat Systems and equipment in accordance with the Maintenance Management Plan
  • Contribute to engineering, maintenance, and procedural solutions in a multi discipline environment, working closely with engineering and logistic support elements
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure training scenario outcomes and customer objectives are achieved
  • Tooling and test equipment supplied

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Cert III/IV in a mechanical trade such as Diesel Fitting, Plant Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or equivalent (Essential)
  • Experience maintaining, repairing, and supporting mechanical equipment in field, workshop, or operational environments (Essential)
  • Experience within Defence, heavy industry, mining, transport, or similar technical maintenance environments (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, trailers, generators, vehicle-mounted equipment, and associated support assets (Highly Desirable)
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance documentation, and fault diagnosis procedures (Desirable)
  • Proven ability to carry out preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance safely and efficiently (Essential)
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills across mechanical equipment and support systems (Desirable)
  • HC Licence (or ability to obtain)
