Overview
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for driving Microsoft’s strategic priorities, revenue growth, and long term customer relationships in Malaysia.
This role owns the end-to-end commercial relationship with customers and partners, leading cloud, AI, security, and digital transformation initiatives

Responsibilities
Account & Relationship Ownership:
-
Serve as the single accountable owner for assigned accounts, managing executive relationships across CIO, CTO, CDO, Secretary General, DG, and Csuite stakeholders.

Develop and execute multiyear account plans aligned to customer transformation priorities, Malaysia Government Digital Strategy, and Microsoft’s FY business goals.

Act as a trusted advisor, positioning Microsoft as a long term strategic partner, not just a technology vendor.
Revenue & Business Growth:
-
Drive accountable pipeline creation, forecasting accuracy, and close down revenue across Azure, AI, Security, Modern Work, and Business Applications.

Accelerate Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR) and Copilot/AI adoption through strategic workload migration and expansion.
-
Own large, complex deals including Centralized Framework Agreements (CFA), tenders, and negotiated enterprise agreements.
Partner & Ecosystem Leadership:

Lead the partner strategy for assigned accounts, including Bumiputera partners, GSIs, and local SI ecosystem.

Ensure partner compliance with procurement, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Drive joint customer value via cosell motions with Solution Partners and Managed Service Providers.
Cross Team Orchestration:
-
Orchestrate internal Microsoft teams across ATU, STU or DES, CSU, ISD, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.

Lead deal strategy, investment requests, and executive escalations when required.

Own executive level communications, QBRs, steering committees, and transformation reviews.
Governance & Compliance:
-
Navigate complex procurement, compliance, and regulatory environments (e.g., data residency, sovereign cloud, government security requirements).

Ensure all deals adhere to Microsoft and Government compliance standards.
Qualifications
Experience:
-
10+ years of enterprise sales experience in technology or digital services or equivalant
-
Proven experience managing large, complex government or regulated customers.
-
Track record of closing multi-milliondollar, multiyear deals.
Skills:
-
Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
-
Deep understanding of government procurement and buying motions.
-
Ability to lead virtual, cross-functional teams and partners.
-
Strong business planning, forecasting, and deal discipline.
Preferred
- Experience selling cloud, AI, security, or enterprise platforms.
