Infrastructure Business Operations Support (IBOS) is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Lead to own New Product Introduction (NPI) and lab support across NORAM field logistics. This individual contributor role is the on-site owner of the "last mile" of introducing new hardware platforms — new server and GPU SKUs, rack designs, network switches, optics, and power equipment — into Meta's field logistics and distribution network across Meta-operated and third-party logistics (3PL) facilities.
The Logistics Operations Lead is the primary liaison between Hardware Engineering, field operations teams, and supply chain partners during product ramps — proving out receiving, staging, storage, kitting, and distribution flows for products that have never moved through the network before, then hardening and standardizing those flows for scale. This role anticipates the logistics implications of new products ahead of ramp, resolves material flow issues before they scale, and ensures every introduction leaves behind repeatable, compliant, site-ready processes. In addition, this role serves as the IBOS NORAM field focal point for Meta Lab support — including infrastructure labs and network engineering labs — coordinating field logistics across the region's lab environments.

Logistics Operations Lead Responsibilities:

New Product Introduction (NPI) execution
Own field logistics readiness and execution for NPI — ensuring new hardware platforms (GPU trays, racks, servers, network switches, optics, power equipment) can be received, inspected, stored, kitted, and distributed reliably from day one of ramp
Serve as the on-site logistics point of contact during first-article receipt, qualification builds, and pilot ramps
Detect and resolve material flow, packaging, labeling, and handling issues before they scale
Establish material handling, staging, and storage requirements for new products, including special handling (weight, ESD, thermal, HAZMAT, high-value/GPU security) considerations

Process Standardization and Operations Excellence:

Define and document NPI receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks
Drive standardization across sites once a product transitions from introduction to steady-state
Design and run operational readiness reviews (ORRs) as gate checks before new-product field execution begins
Drive after-action reviews (AARs) after each ramp, capturing lessons learned and feeding systematic process improvement

Cross-Functional Leadership & Integration:

Partner with Hardware Engineering, DCE/Site Ops, ENS, DCC, and supplier/CM teams to translate new product requirements into executable field logistics plans
Act as a liaison between XFN partners and the companies that make, ship, and deliver new products, building partnerships that drive automation and efficiency
Drive alignment across NORAM field teams on new-product standards, tool adoption, and process improvements — without direct authority
Partner with global operations teams to ensure NORAM NPI initiatives align with worldwide programs

Operational Intelligence and Continuous Improvement:

Monitor demand signals — upcoming builds, new SKUs, capacity surges — and translate them into field logistics requirements ahead of ramp
Track leading indicators of ramp health — predictive signals of emerging friction, not just lagging metrics
Capture learnings and feed them back to hardware and supply chain partners to improve the next introduction
Innovate, automate, standardize, and scale field operations to withstand fast, high-volume product ramps

Compliance & Controls:

Ensure NPI processes meet Meta's stringent inventory management, SOX, physical security, data security, and financial compliance requirements
Ensure all new-product processes are documented, followed, and improved as necessary; drive standardization across Meta's platforms
Meta Lab Field Support (NORAM Focal Point)
Serve as the single IBOS NORAM field focal point for Meta Lab support, including infrastructure labs — the primary point of contact between lab teams and IBOS field logistics across the region
Coordinate the receiving, storage, kitting, staging, and distribution of lab hardware and materials to and from NORAM lab environments
Support lab build-outs, moves, and equipment refreshes, ensuring material availability and timely delivery to meet the lab's schedules
Partner with lab stakeholders — including IDC NSI labs and network engineering labs — to translate lab requirements into logistics processes, and manage returns, RMAs, and asset tracking for lab equipment
Ensure lab materials flows meet inventory management, asset accountability, physical security, and financial compliance requirements
Track and report on lab logistics support performance, surfacing risks and blockers proactively
Travel
Up to 30%+ travel is required across NORAM data centers and 3PL sites to maintain field connectivity and support product ramps in person

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or technical site services within a data center, large-scale infrastructure, or a comparable industrial environment
8+ years of experience in managing inventory control processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, and asset tracking across distributed locations
Experience leading cross-functional projects involving third-party logistics providers, infrastructure teams, and internal stakeholders
Experience developing and managing operational metrics and KPIs to drive performance accountability and continuous improvement
Experience with supply chain processes spanning procure-to-pay, including business process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Experience operating in a large-scale, multi-site data center or hyperscale infrastructure logistics environment with responsibility for fleet-wide process standardization
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to redesign logistics workflows and deliver measurable outcomes such as reduced cycle time, improved inventory accuracy, or cost savings
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements as they apply to inventory management and asset audit processes in a technology infrastructure context
Experience with data analysis platforms and logistics management systems used to monitor inventory, track shipments, and generate operational reporting
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
