Tooling Expert in Technical Cost Management

In the Finance Performance department, we develop ambitious and reliable target costs for purchased parts and supplier tools throughout all phases of product development. By combining technical expertise with close collaboration across Development and Procurement, we create cost transparency for vehicle projects and actively contribute to product and cost optimization.

If you are technically skilled, analytically strong, and eager to take ownership, we would like to welcome you to our Cost Engineering team, where you will play a key role in evaluating and costing tools.

How You Will Contribute:

· Bring your expertise to one of our teams in Interior, Exterior, or Chassis/Electrics and analyze costs for molding and forming tools.

· Work closely with Procurement, Development, Design, and suppliers to identify cost potential across the entire process chain and actively drive its realization.

· Act as a trusted point of contact for R&D on tool- and cost-oriented product design and help derive suitable optimization measures.

· Prepare reliable target-cost calculations for complex tooling scopes.

· Support Procurement with your technical insight during supplier negotiations.

· Use your technology and process expertise to identify technical and commercial trends in toolmaking and assess how they can add value to our work.

· Continue developing your technical know-how while exploring new technologies, methods, and training opportunities related to supplier tools.

· Apply modern AI-supported tools as part of our digital transformation and help shape their further development.

What You Bring:

· A degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification, such as certified technician training.

· Ideally, several years of professional experience in tool procurement, tool design, or tool methodology.

· Sound business knowledge and a strong understanding of cost structures.

· Experience in preparing tooling cost calculations.

· In-depth knowledge of key manufacturing processes and the required production equipment.

· Good English skills; German language skills are an advantage.

· Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working, and a high level of result orientation.

· Confidence in managing internal and external conflicts of interest, combined with persuasive communication skills.
