Teradata Developer

3–8 years of hands-on experience in Teradata Development

Strong knowledge of Teradata SQL:

Good experience in complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs and analytical/window functions
Strong understanding of Teradata database architecture
Experience with Teradata Utilities – BTEQ, Fast Load, Multi Load, TPump and Fast Export
Experience in ETL development and data warehouse concepts

Good understanding of Fact and Dimension tables:

Knowledge of Star/Snowflake schema
Experience with Stored Procedures, Macros and Views
Knowledge of Primary Index, Secondary Index, Partitioning and Statistics
Experience in query performance tuning
Ability to analyze Explain plans and optimize SQL queries
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
Good understanding of batch jobs and scheduling
Experience in production support, troubleshooting and defect resolution
