DevOps Lead

Role Summary

Lead DevOps strategy, team operations, and platform engineering efforts—driving automation, reliability, cost optimization, and cloud-native best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Define DevOps roadmap, standards, and architectural patterns.
• Lead design of CI/CD pipelines, multi-cloud environments, and automation frameworks.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and drive operational excellence.
• Establish infrastructure-as-code standards and reusable templates.
• Implement enterprise observability: tracing, metrics, logs, SLOs/SLIs.
• Oversee Kubernetes clusters, scaling, performance tuning, and security.
• Set governance for deployments, environment management, and access controls.
• Drive incident response, RCA processes, and reliability improvements.
• Optimize cloud spend with Fin Ops best practices.
• Partner with development, QA, security, and architecture teams for seamless delivery.

Requirements (Updated & Relevant)

• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Strong hands-on with IaC (Terraform, Helm, Bicep) and CI/CD systems.
• Knowledge of SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
• Strong understanding of security, networking, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience leading DevOps/SRE teams.

Experience

8–15+ years; 3+ years in DevOps leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing, developing, and implementing robust devops solutions to enhance automation and efficiency in software development processes.
2. Utilizing python programming skills to create and maintain scripts and tools for system administration and automation tasks.
3. Managing and optimizing kubernetes clusters to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of applications.
4. Collaborating with cross functional teams to integrate devops best practices and automate deployment pipelines.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to devops, python, and kubernetes environments.
6. Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in devops, python, and kubernetes to drive continuous improvement.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in implementing and managing devops tools such as jenkins, git, docker, and ansible.
2. Strong programming skills in python for scripting, automation, and application development.
3. Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using kubernetes.
4. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (iac) practices with tools like terraform or cloudformation.
5. Solid understanding of ci/cd pipelines and best practices for software delivery.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in devops, python, or kubernetes would be a plus.
