Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are currently in the process of extending our IT Infrastructure capabilities to the private and public cloud. We have the need to hire two Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineers. If you are an agile learner, have hands-on experience architecting and implementing secure, reliable & resilient hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions and able to function as part of a highly technical, cross functional team, we would like to hear from you. Main Responsibilities: Design and build cloud infrastructure, tools and services supporting General Mills business capabilities. Participate in the planning and execution of complicated technical projects that interact with a wide variety of teams within General Mills. Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for Infrastructure technologies based on Terraform. Experience with git and associated workflows. Agile software development Be a change agent refactoring on premise infrastructure consistent with DevOps principles. Basic Windows and Linux system support Rotating on call support Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred. 5+ years of combined Systems Engineering and Development experience. On-premise Infrastructure Engineering experience – Server, Storage, Linux, Windows, VMWare, Containers (Kubernetes) Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD concepts and tools Proficient with one or more of the following: Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, .NET, C# Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Saltstack and Windows DSC Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Comfortable working cross-functionally in a team setting Strong aptitude to learn and passion for problem solving Preferred Qualifications Public cloud Infrastructure engineering experience including cloud security, governance and integration. Experience with agile techniques and methods Familiarity with Data & Analytics concepts and tools Familiarity with modern Software Engineering principles Possess a strong Governance mindset Additional Consideration Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa.
