We have an exciting opportunity to accelerate through transformation of our plan, source, make, deliver, and customer service supply chain capabilities. This role is accountable for leading the Digital Supply Chain agenda, in partnership with functional transformation leaders, for the Digital & Technology team. The Digital Supply Chain Transformation Leader is a senior-level, strategic business partner who shares ownership for both business capability strategy and business value results. The Digital Supply Chain Transformation Leader owns executive-level relationships and serves as a single point of focus, working to converge our portfolio of D&T investments and support for Supply Chain across our business segments. This is achieved by stimulating, surfacing, and shaping demand for capabilities and assets, in addition to ensuring that the potential business value from those capabilities and assets are captured, optimized, and recognized. Through effective relationship management capabilities, the Digital Supply Chain Leader contributes to the Supply Chain leadership team by actively partnering with business peers to determine strategic direction. They work to identify ways in which D&T can support and advance business objectives. Additionally, the Digital Supply Chain Leader shapes business demand into supply by 1) partnering with appropriate resources to facilitate the creation of idea documents, business cases, and value plans; 2) ensuring value optimization and communication; and 3) enabling continuous improvement in all areas and people around them. As a priority this role will partner closely with Digital Data and Analytics and Enterprise Architecture teams to drive transformation through our “Digital Future” platforms. The Digital Supply Chain leader will be accountable for D&T capabilities defined and delivered to the Supply Chain function of GMI, partnering with the Supply Chain Executive and Transformation team across the core pillars including Planning, Sourcing, Making, Moving, Delivering and Customer Service. OVERVIEW As the leader responsible for digital supply chain transformation, the right candidate will lead and perform four main macro roles: Transformation Planner: Defining and planning a transformation program: working across the supply chain transformation team and related D&T teams defining ideas, concepts and master plans to put in place solutions that drive the significant value and deep impacts across a wide range of stakeholders (covering plan, source, make, move, deliver, and customer service). This leader will act as the transformation catalyst and planner. Digital Savvy Expert: The supply chain transformation leader must be digitally savvy in order to define a solution into a program that drives value realization. Stakeholders Manager: Change is embedded in transformation, with a significant degree of change that will need to be properly managed. Having sound change management processes and equally robust stakeholder management processes are important. Positive Disrupter: Consists of challenging the status quo of the organization structures (and its stakeholders) without antagonizing the different responsible leaders (e. g., executives/managers) that are being disrupted. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key accountabilities of the Digital Supply Chain Transformation Leader include collaboration and cross team coordination of significant change in order to deliver value, supported by new innovative Digital Supply Chain solutions, Core Digital, Intelligent Automation and Data and Analytics foundations through activities executed as the program passes from innovation, to program definition, design, build, deploy and run. Managing across a portfolio of projects, the 5 key stages lead by the Supply Chain Transformation Leader are: Business Engagement Leadership Business Engagement Leadership to define business needs, business case, and investment roadmaps to deliver business value Functional IT Transformation Lead through executive and end user engagement Define strategic roadmaps and project charters Overall systems solution owner for supply chain capability domains of plan, source, make, deliver, and customer service On point for D&T governance leadership Value identification Analyze the drivers for the transformation and agree objectives Identify the benefits that will result, and the main changes necessary Develop conservative estimates and likely scenarios, create the initial business case Plan benefits realization Agree ownership and accountability for benefits and changes Analyze baseline, collect benchmarking data and evidence for value realization Validate KPI’s and define critical success factors Finalize measurements of success, produce detailed business case and benefit realization plan Execute benefits plan and evaluate results Manage change programs, review progress against the benefits plan Take corrective actions necessary to achieve plans Formally assess the benefits achieved, initiate plans to gain outstanding benefits where feasible Identify lessons for other projects Establish potential for further improvements Identify additional improvements through business changes or further investments Ongoing monitoring of benefits achieved COMPETENCIES Strong written, verbal and visual communications skills Deep knowledge and demonstrated experience leading change and delivering value, with CPG and supply chain specific experience Strategic thinker able to articulate enterprise-level strategies and build solution frameworks Able to partner with everyone inside and outside the Department to establish strategies, governance processes, policies, platforms, content and analytics. Business transformation and organizational change skills Superior problem solving, negotiation, presentation and writing skills Deep business and Digital acumen with demonstrated ability to easily and effectively interact with senior management, cross-functional leaders, and other key internal and external partners. Understands use of information management and data analytics tools to create and optimize content and report on impact from the perspective of business performance, brand and reputation Strong team and organization leadership experience and capabilities with ability to identify, recruit, motivate coach and develop talent Able to develop team members and work with business partners and leaders outside of the communication function Ability to identify trends and position the company as a CPG leader Experience in a complex, collaborative, global business environment Experience guiding complex change initiatives across different regions and business models. Comfort interacting with all levels of the organization Has ability to serve as a trusted leader and advocate within the company and externally Demonstrates maturity and leadership with the ability to serve as a collaborative and unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels Process mindset Understands regulatory requirements Creativity and innovation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or greater in Business, Computer Science, Data Sciences MBA / Graduate degree or progressive educational certificate preferred 15+ years of functional experience in the business function 7+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives Profound understanding of the CPG industry and how to use change management best practices, disciplines and technology to achieve business objectives Corporate or consulting experience preferred ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION Preferred location for this role is Minneapolis, MN, however remote work-at-home applications within the United States will be considered.
