China ESC Sourcing Manager

At present, it has major brands including Häagen-Dazs and Wanchai Ferry which are internationally renowned. General Mills has built in China 4 modern production bases, which are located in Sanhe of Hebei Province, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing respectively. In addition, it has 3 central kitchens in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangzhou, a R&D Center in Shanghai, and more than 400 Häagen-Dazs stores. This sourcing role is responsible for sourcing materials including, but not limited to, ingredients material and OEM China. Depending on the projects. Scope of work includes mainly as below:

• Lead and implement the sourcing strategy for certain materials
• Support the new launch projects with multi-function team
• Run the bidding and negotiation
• Sign the contract with suppliers
• Manage the supplier performance and relationship
• Deliver the saving target yearly
• Collaborate with global sourcing team to leverage the global expertise and scale
• Team work with other regions to learn and reapply the best practice
• Drive the synergy across brands Desired Skills and Experience
• Strong communication skill to collaborate with multi-functional team
• Strong project management skill
• Knowledge and experience of ingredients material or packaging material sourcing preferred
• Knowledge and experience of sourcing strategies preferred
• Bachelor’s degree
• Fluent Mandarin and English communication in verbal and written - 5 – 8 years of sourcing experience
