Key Objective The key objective of the role is the management & continuous improvement of the outsourced physical warehousing & transport networks to drive service and unit cost improvements. This will be achieved by providing day to day management of key 3rd party logistics service providers. This role should develop our customer communication processes to ensure a smooth order to delivery service offering. Key Responsibilities The candidate’s key responsibilities associated with this position are managing both the performance and relationship with the 3PL. For example: Service: Ensure key service metrics are met Drive performance through Root Cause Analysis – suggest and implement improvements. Ensure robust, documented core LSP processes and standards Own the stock reconciliation process ensuring continuous accuracy of inventory Collate and report weekly and monthly KPI’s Significant input and attendance at Monthly Review meetings; accountable for ensuring actions are followed through Tracking and priority scheduling of inbound hauliers Operations: Provide day to day operational support to the wider Supply Chain team Deliver renovation/innovation projects (NPD) Co-pack / rework support Activity forecasting with LSP Brokerage & customs lead for Ireland Support customer route to market initiatives adding value to the end-to-end Supply Chain Cost: Ensure the monthly financial accrual process can be complete – collate and compile monthly charging information. Roadrunner champion & business lead. Ensure vendor invoices are processed in line with payment terms Customer Service: Ensure clear & timely customer communications of service and availability outlook The Candidate Skills / Temperament / Experience Graduate calibre – ideally Logistics / Supply Chain graduate; 3-5 years of proven experience of physical distribution and/or freight forwarding; Commercially astute – Industry awareness; Numerical Understanding of what drives cost in a supply chain PC and systems literate e.g. SAP; Excel; Access Excellent analytical skills Previous experience of reporting and analysing costs Performance driven – take ownership and accountability for LSP performance Able to display good judgment Ability to identify issues and actions to avoid them Problem Solving Solutions oriented Innovative Adaptable and Flexible Adapt quickly to new situations Self motivated whilst able to work within a team Cross Functional working Able to build positive relationships with suppliers and both internal and external customers Excellent communication skills The role will require UK and possible European travel COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
