As a Product Guidance Specialist, you will serve as a trusted partner to Financial Advisors, practice teams, and internal stakeholders delivering expert-level support, strategic problem solving, and exceptional service in a specialized area directly impacted by stock and bond market activity. This role requires strong analytical thinking, advanced product knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex situations with confidence and professionalism.
Working within a highly collaborative and agile team, you will play a critical role in helping advisors and clients respond to evolving market conditions while ensuring accurate, timely, and solution-focused service. Success in this role requires flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning in an ever-changing financial environment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted resource for Financial Advisors, practice teams, and internal business partners on complex service, product, and operational inquiries.
- Analyze and resolve challenging issues by applying critical thinking, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of investment products, processes, and market dynamics.
- Provide exceptional service and guidance during periods of heightened market activity, helping stakeholders navigate time-sensitive requests with accuracy and confidence.
- Interpret and apply evolving policies, procedures, and product updates to deliver customized solutions.
- Balance multiple high-priority requests while maintaining superior service standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Partner closely with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to share expertise, strengthen team capabilities, and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and improve the advisor and client experience.
- Demonstrate adaptability and teamwork by supporting department priorities and responding effectively to changing business and market conditions.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of customer service, prior financial services industry, and/or Edward Jones experience required.
- Current Series 7 and 66 (OR combination of both Series 63 and 65) licenses required.
- Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) required within 9-months of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills are necessary.
- Must be able to understand information about various securities, market conditions, industry trends, and financial planning.
- Extensive flexibility, reliability and sound decision making skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply technical information.
