The Senior Experience Strategist’s work lives at the intersection of the client journeys and business initiatives in the digital authenticated client experience. In partnership with the Client Experience Journey Owner, you help orchestrate a cohesive experience, drive the experience strategy for platform-wide capabilities, and serve as connective tissue between journey teams, the business, connected channels.
This is a highly visible, collaborative individual contributor role — influencing priorities, shaping investment decisions, and ensuring the firm understands what is required to deliver the best possible client experience.
Channel Experience Vision & Strategy:
-
Maintain the channel experience vision. Partner with the Client Experience Journey Owner and Design to define an outcomes-oriented vision, grounded in key business drivers, client needs, emerging trends and differentiation in the marketplace.
-
Compelling storytelling. Synthesize data, insights, and strategy into narratives that help leaders understand the current state, the future state, and what's required to get there.
-
Drive clarity on what is required to deliver the best experience, what stands in the way, how capabilities must evolve, and what should be prioritized for greatest client impact.
-
Create experience flows and artifacts that demonstrate the ecosystem, and the desired user experience.
2.
Platform Experience Design Enablement:
-
As a matrixed team, help ensure that as individual journey work and business initiatives land within the authenticated client platform, the overall platform experience remains intuitive, consistent, and coherent.
-
Draft design briefs for successful design sprints. Collaborate closely with journey owners and seek input from appropriate teams to best reflect coordinated expectations and drive clear direction.
3.
Coordination & Influence:
-
Partner with journey teams, Digital, tech and business to ensure their work lands well and integrates fully within the channel and contributes to a holistic client experience. This role is heavily relationship, influence and dependent.
-
Represent channel experience needs in planning cycles and journey coordination forums, advocating for what the channel requires to deliver on its vision.
-
Identify where specific journeys or business initiatives have an outsized impact on the overall experience. Surface insights to journey owners and other key partners to drive action.
-
Ensure the voice of the client is represented in channel-level decisions, using data and insights to connect platform choices to real client needs, behaviors, and segment differences.
4.
Channel Experience Measurement & Prioritization:
-
Monitor and report on experience health. Track and communicate the overall state of the experience using data such as Digital NPS and Channel Satisfaction. Understand what's driving those results and where action is needed. Partner with the CJO and analytics teams.
-
Establish the leading and lagging indicators that reflect channel experience quality, and build the connection between platform investments and client and business outcomes.
-
Develop prioritized, evidence-based business cases that help the firm make confident decisions about where to invest, in partnership with the CJO and journeys.
What Experience You Need:
-
Bachelor's degree in user experience, design, customer experience, marketing, or a related field required.
-
10+ years of progressive experience in experience strategy, digital strategy, or design. Demonstrated ability to work across matrixed organizations.
-
Experience working with Digital. Strong understanding of how platform-level decisions affect user experience.
-
Expertise in frameworks such as journey mapping, service blueprints, and experience measurement models — and the ability to apply them at a platform or channel level, not just within a single journey.
-
Comfort operating in high ambiguity, at the intersection of many stakeholders: journey teams, technology partners, and senior business leaders.
-
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and multiple points of view into a clear, action-oriented strategy.
-
Excellent communication and storytelling skills. Able to translate strategy into narratives that influence senior leaders and build shared understanding across the organization.
-
Financial services experience a plus.
