Team Overview:
The Edward Jones Policy, Regulatory and Government Relations (PRGR) team works at the intersection of public policy, regulatory affairs, and advocacy, helping advance the firm's strategic priorities with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and government officials. As the Townhouse Manager & Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Policy, Regulatory and Government Relations while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm's Washington, DC townhouse. This unique position combines executive support, property and venue management, and event coordination, offering the opportunity to serve as a key contributor to high-profile engagements that strengthen Edward Jones' presence and relationships in the nation's capital.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Head of PRGR and you will manage the operations, maintenance, and strategic use of Edward Jones' Washington, DC townhouse. You will serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate events and meetings, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure the property consistently reflects the firm's commitment to professionalism and hospitality.
Here are a few of the Key Responsibilities:
- Provide calendar management, scheduling, travel coordination, expense and invoice processing, and administrative support for the Head of Policy, Regulatory and Government Relations.
- Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and readiness of the Washington, DC townhouse, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate and support meetings, receptions, client events, and other engagements hosted at the townhouse.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers, including contract administration and performance oversight.
- Monitor property maintenance, repairs, inspections, and improvement projects to preserve the functionality and appearance of the facility.
- Support event logistics, including catering, room setup, transportation, security coordination, and guest experience management.
- Ensure townhouse operations and events comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with special projects, reporting, and operational initiatives supporting the PRGR team.
- Internally, this role will be known as Townhouse Manager
- This position is based in Washington, DC and requires on-site presence at the townhouse. Due to the nature of executive meetings, receptions, and government affairs events, occasional early morning, evening, and limited weekend hours may be required outside of standard business hours.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality management, property management, venue management, operations, or related functions.
- Experience providing administrative support to senior executives, elected officials, or organizational leaders.
- Experience coordinating high-profile meetings, receptions, or stakeholder events, that require discretion, professionalism, and attention to privacy and security considerations.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, service contracts, maintenance activities, and facility operations.
- Knowledge of property management, event logistics, budget tracking, and operational planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting executive schedules, facility operations, and event execution.
- Experience working in government affairs, public policy, association, advocacy, or similarly regulated environments preferred.
