About the Role:
The Sales Manager leads a team of new business sales executives focused on driving new business growth, while also carrying an individual revenue quota. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction for new business efforts across the team, managing pipeline activity through Salesforce, and coaching sellers to achieve performance goals and KPI targets. The Sales Manager builds and maintains strong client relationships through virtual and in-person meetings, identifies and develops new business opportunities, and stays current on the full suite of Dow Jones enterprise subscription solutions. Additionally, this role is responsible for forecasting team revenue, providing updates to leadership, and supporting overall sales performance and business expansion initiatives.
You Will:
- Manages 1 or more development managers or sellers focused on new business activities while also carrying an individual quota for revenue generation.
- Sets the strategy for new business within his or her team
- Manages pipeline via salesforce
- Conducts virtual and in-person meetings with clients to establish relationships and drive new opportunities into pipeline
- Sets KPI’s for sellers in consultation with sales leadership for his or her team
- Stay up to date with Dow Jones suite of enterprise subscription solutions
- Travel to meet clients (where appropriate).
- Forecasting team revenue to management
You Have:
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.
- 2–5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in a subscription-based, SaaS, media, or information services business is a strong plus.
- Previous experience working with enterprise clients or large organizations.
- Strong track record in B2B sales and revenue generation.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Skilled in managing a pipeline and closing deals..

Base Pay Range: 120,000.00 - 140,000.00
