About the role

The Curing Press Operator is responsible for loading and curing commercial truck tires while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. This role works closely with production teams, supervisors, and support departments to ensure efficient operations within the curing department.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Load and monitor “green” tires in curing presses
  • Operate curing press controls and monitor equipment performance
  • Identify tire codes and ensure proper tire placement and orientation
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
  • Monitor automated tire delivery systems and report issues
  • Maintain production, quality, and safety standards
  • Keep work areas clean and organized following 5S standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, CBS activities, and team goals
  • Follow all plant safety, environmental, and operating procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • HS diploma /GED
  • Successful completion of Work Keys (Silver)
  • Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.
  • 1- 2 year experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to work in high heat and dusty conditions.
  • Must be able to safely handle commercial truck tires.

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling with comprehensive training provided.
