Advisor, Quantitative Trader

This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

Join the systematic trading team with Cargill's World Trading group. The team is trading futures and options on commodities across the globe. It runs a diversified portfolio of non-fundamental and fundamental strategies in a fully systematic setup. The team is now looking to for a quant researcher/trader with multi-asset and time spreads portfolio experience

Key Accountabilities

• Running a book of multi-commodities strategies going beyond the traditional factors
• Running time spread strategies
• Fluent in optimizers, portfolio construction and cost modelling/controlling
• Experience with fundamental and alternative data strategies
• Experience with intraday strategies

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters and/or PhD in a quantitative discipline (statistics, computer-science, engineering, quantitative finance, etc.)
• Minimum of six years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
• Hands-on experience building infrastructure: Python proficiency + SQL proficiency, knowledge of OOP languages
• Running a book of multi-commodities strategies going beyond the traditional factors
• Fluent in optimizers, portfolio construction and cost modelling/controlling
• Experience with fundamental and alternative data strategies
• Experience with intraday strategies
