The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced antenna and RF systems that support critical fielded technologies. You will collaborate with experts across engineering disciplines, participate in prototype development, and deliver innovative mechanical solutions that meet complex technical, schedule, and budget requirements. Responsibilities:
- Support mechanical engineering activities across multiple antenna and RF‑focused projects.
- Design, model, and analyze mechanical structures for antenna systems, including reflectors, phased arrays, and supporting components.
- Collaborate with RF/antenna engineers to integrate waveguide assemblies, transitions, and housings with strict mechanical and RF tolerances.
- Develop prototype designs, engineering specifications, and manage outsourced metalwork and components.
- Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawing packages in accordance with ASME standards.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications (Level 2)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Experience with stress, thermal, and airflow simulation tools
- Hands‑on fabrication and assembly experience
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and metal fabrication equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to propose timely solutions to complex mechanical design challenges
- Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with rapid prototyping and collaboration with internal and external manufacturers
- Machine shop competency
- Understanding of spherical near‑field ranges, including setup and operation
- GD&T certification or recent training

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$72,700 - $149,200
