We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our** Engineering GP&T Client Platform** team. This role is in** New York, NY**.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to impact on our organization in the following ways:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack applications aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and security to deliver innovative solutions.
- Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to technology strategy.
- Lead the code reviews and debugging efforts.
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Partner with stakeholders on project priorities, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution and timely delivery.
- Continuously contributing directly to the success of project deliverables.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
- Experience in designing and developing large-scale, mission-critical, high-performance, high-availability systems.
- Expert-level knowledge in design and development of client-facing RESTful APIs.
- Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot/REST development, including microservices and event-driven architecture implementation.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Software engineering experience with demonstrable, recent use of AI-native development tools as a core part of workflow.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS and messaging technologies (IBM MQ, Kafka).
- Solid grasp of Git, CI/CD, containerization, and automated API testing.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, signed request verification using public/private key cryptography.
- Experience in using code quality and static analysis tools like Sonar Qube or Veracode.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, either Scrum or Kanban.
- Prior experience as a lead engineer working in finance, particularly in payments.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
