• Flexible DNAP schedule:

Four days dedicated to teaching and academic work, plus one clinical day each week. This day may be used for clinical practice at market rates or taken as personal time.

Supervises clinical nurse anesthesia faculty and preceptors. Develops, reviews, and revises nurse anesthesia policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends appropriate nurse anesthesia faculty for employment to the Nurse Anesthesia Department Chair. Identifies and recommends appropriate clinical faculties and community agency linkages for student learning experiences to the Nurse Anesthesia Department Chair. Documents and maintains current student clinical experiences for the Nurse Anesthesia Department Chair. Documents and maintains current faculty, preceptor, and student records and files for the Nurse Anesthesia Department. Designs, plans, and coordinates nurse anesthesia clinical practicum. Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in core and nurse anesthesia specialty courses. Participates in student advising and mentorship. Assists the Department Chair in maintaining the nurse anesthesia course of study in compliance with accreditation standards. Participates in the clinical administration of nurse anesthesia to patients across the lifespan. Performs other duties as assigned. Consults with the Department Chair to recommend budget requests that ensure adequate resources for nurse anesthesia faculty and preceptors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Verbal communication with college administration, faculty, staff and others internal and external to the college Required
  • Organizational skills Required
  • Effectively use computer programs related to educational duties which includes, but is not limited to, word processing, database management, complex data computation, analysis and graphics, presentation development, and distance learning technology Required
  • Cooperatively work as a team member Required
  • Self-directed and have skills in writing and consultation Required

Education:

  • Doctorate of Nursing Required

Field of Study:

  • Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, Education, or other higher education degree
  • Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia specialty

Work Experience:

  • 3+ current experience in clinical practice as nurse anesthetist Required
  • 3+ years experience in nurse anesthesia education Preferred
  • 5+ years current experience in clinical practice as nurse anesthetist Preferred

  • Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Required
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Required

$110,702.15 - $205,911.28
