QRadar Analyst / QRadar Engineer About the Role The QRadar Analyst/Engineer is responsible for monitoring, triaging, analysing, and responding to security events using IBM QRadar SIEM. This role involves maintaining QRadar infrastructure, creating and optimizing detection rules, performing threat investigations, and ensuring timely incident response. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on SIEM experience, and deep understanding of security operations. What Will You Do Monitor security events, offenses, and alerts generated by QRadar. Perform detailed investigation and correlation of security events. Analyze logs from multiple sources (network devices, servers, cloud platforms, applications). Create, tune, and optimize QRadar rules, building blocks, and reference sets. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, saved searches, and AQL queries. Conduct root-cause analysis for detected threats and provide remediation recommendations. Work closely with SOC L1/L2 teams for escalated security incidents. Perform health checks, troubleshoot QRadar components, and ensure platform availability. Integrate log sources with QRadar (via Syslog, Win Collect, API, etc.). Collaborate with compliance, vulnerability, and infrastructure teams to improve security posture. Document incident response workflows, detection use cases, and operational procedures.
