Manager, Cloud Engineering at Vanguard

Core Responsibilities

• Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Manages the resolution of the most complex cloud platform issues elevated from staff and clients.

• Manages technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install cloud computing platforms across all systems. Plans, develops, and executes short range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.

• Develops and implements changes to department policies and standard operating procedures to meet changing business needs. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and system optimization. Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.

• Responsible for delivering software maintenance and ensuring optimization of system up time and perfomance for critical technology is completed. Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for platforms. Implements new technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.

• Develops technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs. Manages the ongoing performance of IT cloud vendor products and services

• Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.

• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience, with three years experience in threat analysis. Supervisory experience preferred.

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
