Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Urology

UPMC is seeking a **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)**to join our Urology team in Camp Hill, PA. This is a great opportunity to work in a large outpatient clinic with a supportive team and a variety of hands-on clinical responsibilities.New graduate LPNs are welcome to apply, and training will be provided for specialized urology procedures.

Schedule & Location

• Monday through Friday
• Daylight hours with shifts including:
• 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
• 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• Location: 100 Corporate Center Dr., Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011
• Rare travel may be needed within the Surgery Service Line

About the Department

Join a busy Urology practice featuring 15 exam rooms and 5 procedure rooms. You’ll work alongside a great team in a comfortable office setting while gaining experience with a variety of patient care and urology procedures.

Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Draw blood.
• Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• One year clinical experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Act 34

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
