Registered Nurse, RN (PRN) – Perot Surgery

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: PRN- Variable Shifts; Weekdays (Monday–Friday), 6:30 AM–5:00 PM. Variable schedule; workdays and shifts may vary.

Surgery highlights:

· Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.

· Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts

· Level I Trauma facility.

Strong Minimally Invasive CV program:

Here’s What You Need

· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma

· BSN (Preferred)

· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)

· Robotic, GYN, Plastics and Breast Oncology experience (Strongly Preferred)

· At least 3 years of experience circulating (strongly preferred)

· Scrubbing experience (preferred)

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)

· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)

What You Will Do

· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
