Associate, Accountant (AP) - Finance, Shopee

Responsibilities

1. AP

• Record purchasing invoices with correct General Ledger's accounts and manage the payable balance to vendors properly
• Prepare and manage lease accounting data
• Prepare the payments by cash on hand and bank transfers to suppliers, employees, salary and others
• Record all payments and receipts to accounting system for both cash and bank transactions Support General Ledger's model in reconciliation and accruals
• Follow and in charge of suppliers' balance to make sure all records are controlled and recorded correctly
• Prepare month- end cash and bank reconciliation
• Other tasks assigned by Reporting Manager

2. Inventory:

• Coordinate with other relevant team to check and ensure the inbound price from system accurately
• Monthly doing reconciliation inventory balance stock with our suppliers

3. Tax support

• Support preparation and checking of VAT reports (input/output) on a monthly basis.
• Assist in tax declaration and submission in accordance with local regulations.
• Support tax reconciliation between accounting records and tax reports.
• Assist in working with tax consultants and preparing documents for tax audits when required.

4. Others

• Prepare booking journals.
• Other tasks assigned by Reporting Manager

Requirements

Must have:

• 2 year experience in Accounting.
• Bachelor degrees in Finance and Accounting, with a background in retail or e-commerce are big plus.
• Proactive, careful, hard-working and highly responsible.
• Good communication skills, with basic English.
• Good at excel, google sheet using skill

Nice to have:

• Preferably Big4 working experience, or Retail industry
• Understand about IFRS
• Know how to apply AI
