Logistics & Operations Specialist, Cross Border eCommerce

Responsibilities

JP SLS Operations Ownership

• Monitor daily logistics performance and proactively resolve operational issues across the shipment lifecycle.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to ensure stable operations and service quality.

Operational Excellence & Performance Management

• Analyze operational KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Track performance trends and implement action plans to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Vendor Performance Management

• Own day-to-day vendor management and maintain strong operational relationships with logistics partners.
• Monitor vendor KPI/SLA performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, establish, and continuously improve operational SOPs and governance processes.

Logistics Strategy & Vendor Development

• Support RFQ projects through vendor sourcing, market benchmarking, capability assessment, and commercial evaluation.
• Evaluate new logistics solutions and identify opportunities to optimize network performance and cost.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance

• Monitor customs and regulatory changes affecting cross-border logistics in Japan.
• Lead implementation of new regulatory requirements and drive process improvements to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cross-border logistics, e-commerce logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end international B2C logistics operations, including warehouse, customs clearance, linehaul, and last-mile delivery.
• Proven experience managing logistics vendors and driving operational performance through KPI and SLA management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across regional and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with data analysis and KPI reporting is preferred.
• Business-level English is required.
• Business-level Korean is preferred.
