Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) - Part Time - La Jolla

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served the greater San Diego community since 1924. Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.

This is a benefited, part time position working 8-hr day shifts generally from 0600-1430 on varied days. Hours may vary as needed. Weekends, some evenings, and holidays are required on a rotating basis. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Includes $2k retention incentive for eligible new hires. In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or degree acceptable for California Laboratory Licensure
• New graduates are welcome to apply

Required Certification/Registration:

• CDPH Licensure:

MTA (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) Licensed to perform work in all areas of the Clinical Lab

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• 3+ years of recent Blood Bank experience

Position Pay Range: $54.24-$78.66/hour
