RN Specialized - Per Diem - Cancer Treatment Room - Rancho Bernardo Clinic

This is a per diem/casual position working 10-hr day shifts on varied weekdays, generally from 7:30am-6pm. Training will be full time hours for about 4 weeks. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo but required to travel to the Torrey Pines Clinic as needed. Minimum shift requirement 4 shifts/4 weeks.

• Our highly skilled Specialized Services RNs work in an innovative, welcoming, and patient-centered environment.
• The Cancer Treatment Room / Oncology Infusion Center at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo has 25 treatment chairs and handles approximately 55–70 cancer treatments per day, including oncology infusions and supportive therapies
• The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.

What you'll do:

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.
• Educate patients and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control.
• Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice

Required Qualifications:

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
• Completion of accredited RN program.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Current CA RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate.
• Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting.
• Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters.
• Outpatient chemo infusion experience.

Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour
