As a Testing Intern, you will support the software quality assurance activities for variable frequency drives (VFDs). You will learn how we test, document, and validate embedded software, while gaining hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.

This Internship starts in June/July and is paid hybrid position based in Katowice, Poland. You will report to Engineering Test Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Learn the role of software testing within the organization and understand the responsibilities of the Embedded Software Testing team.
  • Complete manual functional tests of embedded software for variable frequency drives based on predefined test scenarios.
  • Analyze functional requirements and prepare test cases using technical documentation.
  • Perform tests on real or simulated devices, validating control responsibilities, parameters and error handling.
  • Document test results, prepare test reports and report identified defects using the team's defect tracking tools.
  • Support root cause analysis of defects in collaboration with the testing and development teams.
  • Gain hands-on experience in test automation by creating simple automated test scripts using Python.
  • Maintain test documentation and basic automated test scripts.

  • You Will Have

  • Active student status in a technical field such as computer science, automation, electronics, software engineering or a related discipline.

  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts or interest in quality assurance and embedded systems.

  • Interest in learning embedded software testing and automation practices.

  • Legal work and stay permits in Poland.

  • English language proficiency

The Preferred

  • You Might Also Have

  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems, automation or industrial devices.

  • Familiarity with Python programming fundamentals.

  • Initial exposure to software testing concepts, test cases or defect reporting through coursework or projects.

  • Interest in developing skills in test automation and embedded software quality assurance.
