Platform Architect (Platform Management, Design Enablement) at NXP Semiconductors
About the role
Platform Architect is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across global Design Enablement, Platform Management programs at Design Enablement. The role drives cross-functional alignment, execution excellence, cost optimization, and long-term technology enablement across advanced and mainstream technology nodes.
This role operates at the intersection of engineering, business strategy and research partnerships, ensuring predictable delivery, scalable processes, and sustained customer trust across complex, multi-site programs.
Key Responsibilities Program & Portfolio Leadership
- Own and govern complex, project and program portfolios across Design Enablement and Platform Management, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology roadmaps.
- Drive DEC milestone execution, risk management, and decision transparency across global stakeholders.
- Establish program governance structures, dashboards, and cadence for senior leadership visibility and informed decision-making.

P process for Design Enablement:
Design Enablement & Technology Platforms
- Lead enablement programs for semiconductor technology platforms (e.g., DEC-related initiatives), ensuring timely availability of PDKs, libraries, flows, and qualification readiness.
- Act as a key integrator between process technology teams, design teams, IP owners, and product groups to remove execution bottlenecks.
- Balance technical depth with program rigor to support adoption of advanced and specialized process technologies.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Coordinate execution across distributed global teams spanning engineering, research, manufacturing, quality, and business units.
- Chair and contribute to global leadership forums (e.g., Design Enablement and management reviews), driving alignment, issue resolution, and escalation closure.
- Partner closely with functional leaders and executive stakeholders to translate strategy into executable plans.
