From games on TV to mobile and web, Next Games is a Netflix first-party studio that develops approachable games to entertain a diverse, global audience.

We design games that Netflix members can enjoy every day as part of their subscription. Our games released on Netflix to date include TV games Boggle Party, Pictionary Game Night, Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, and Underwatermelon, as well as Netflix Puzzled, available on mobile devices and on tudum.com.

The Role:

As our Art Outsourcing Manager, you will act as the vital link between our internal teams and external partners. You will design the pipelines that allow these groups to work as a unified team. Your goal is to lead our outsourcing strategy and ensure that every asset meets our high quality standards while remaining on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Growth: You will scout and build relationships with external studios and freelancers. This includes managing the business side of partnerships by negotiating rates and overseeing contracts.

• Workflow Design: You will create clear and efficient processes that remove friction. You will proactively improve how information is shared between the Art, Engineering, and Production departments.

• Guidance and Feedback: You will support our internal artists by helping them create clear briefs and providing external partners with the constructive feedback they need to succeed.

• Continuous Improvement: You will seek out new tools and methods to make our asset production more efficient and higher in fidelity. You will also maintain organized partner databases and documentation.

Skills and experience:

• Technical Knowledge: You have a strong art portfolio and a deep understanding of 2D and 3D technical specifications. You are an expert in Art Production.

• Communication Skills: You can translate technical needs for developers and creative visions for artists. You can effectively prioritize and manage a complex workload, working independently when needed and collaborating across teams.

• Industry Experience: You have a proven track record in the game industry or a related creative field. Experience specifically managing external vendors or freelancers is a significant advantage.

• Strategic Mindset: You are driven to build a well-functioning outsourcing team and want to establish best practices that align the entire studio.
