Ericsson Software Technology employs close to 100 professionals, who contribute to variety of Open-Source projects that are connected to Cloud and 5G. In Finland, the majority work in Kirkkonummi, 25 minutes away from the Helsinki city center. Our teams are very international, and English is primary language we use in everyday work. Ericsson Software Technology in Finland is one of largest contributors to Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem within Finland and Nordics.

About this opportunity

We are now looking for a person that has passion to work with Open Source and Cloud Native computing platforms to help develop new features. As part of our team, you will contribute to Kubernetes, Metal3 and other Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects. You will also get a possibility to participate CNCF community events and meetups.

The skills you bring:

• Ongoing studies for Technical B.Sc / M.Sc (current studier)
• Some knowledge of programming languages (Python, C, Go)
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:Cloud concepts such as Virtualization, Containers, Container Orchestration, Kubernetes and/or Docker
• Development using Linux, Docker and/or Containerd as container runtime
• Interest to work with:

CNCF and other Open Source Communities:

• Software development, ability to write code and willingness to learn new things
• Working with people and networking
• Good English skills
