ABB is the industry leader in Variable Speed Drive products. At the core of our portfolio is the Industrial Drives product line, delivering the most comprehensive range of offerings with unmatched reliability, performance, and efficiency. We are looking for a Global Product Line manager to lead our Industrial drives portfolio in the Drive Products Division.

This senior, high-impact role reports directly to the Head of Global Product Management and is responsible for shaping global product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring portfolio competitiveness and profitability. With ownership of roadmap and market positioning, this role is critical to achieving long-term growth and strategic business objectives.

This role is open globally, but location is set in Europe, with preference for Finland (Helsinki), Italy (Sesto San Giovanni) or Germany (Mannheim). The work model is hybrid #.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items
  • Analyze and track global market, technology, competitor info, customer requirements and trends and determine competitive attributes, and value proposition
  • Lead approval & prioritization process for product development roadmap for Product Line working cross functionally, most notably with R&D and Product Engineering teams
  • Determine long term go to market strategy and lifecycle decisions
  • Foster collaboration across global Centers of Expertise (Co Es) and business units to share best practices and accelerate strategy execution
  • Be a member of the global product management team
  • Managing associated portfolio planning, investment and development activities across product lines
  • Support M&A activities and strategic Partnerships, including Startup collaboration
  • Work with global sales teams to identify key markets, segments, applications and customers to maximize Product Line growth

  • Roadmap Ownership for Product Line: Ensure timely delivery and alignment of the Product Line roadmap with strategic goals
  • Product Line Business Results: Achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets for the Industrial Product Line portfolio
  • Product Line Competitiveness & Profitability: Maintain market-leading position through innovation and cost optimization

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. Degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in product management or segment specific sales role
  • Proven track record of cross functional collaboration to assure successful teamwork
  • Strategic mindset and passion to drive business results through people collaboration
  • Dynamic profile and excellent stakeholder engagement in business networks
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
