About the role
Job Summary
As a Senior Solutions Engineer (Pre Sales) in Net App's Sales Function, you will primarily provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions specifically for large enterprises and service providers. You will utilise your technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results. You will be assigned to a district team and sales leader, focusing on expanding our presence within existing and new clients together with business partners.
- Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions
- May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions
- May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client
- Providing consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation
Job Responsibilities
- Designing tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges
- Conveying the advantaged of Net App storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions
- Designing an architecting on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN and Object Storage is required)
- Developing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterpriser applications, also in the context of Cloud Services
- Providing deep insights into Storage and Data Management vendor eco system, and having had prior experience on backup solutions
- Creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings
- Collaborate with client executives and partner sales to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to storage solutions
- Advise on engagement and utilization of broader range of technical resources
- Offering and applying technical expertise on Net App's storage products and solutions
Job Requirements
- At least 8 Years of experience and expertise in technical specifications on storage product and services
- Prior experience of working in capacity of Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering on storage technologies
- Prior knowledge with service providers is advantageous
- Operate as Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) and has the ability to influence Sales team, driving initiatives and act as a Decision-maker on Projects
- Experience or working knowledge with the product of EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware or Pure Storage
- Prior knowledge in Cloud, Storage, AI/ML, Database, Microservice, Enterprise Application or DevOps is advantageous
- Interested and/or possess with the relevant knowledge with Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8S) platform
- Interested and/or possess with the relevant knowledge for hybrid multi-cloud technologies, AI Platform
