The Global Technology & Operations group (GTO) is a diverse team of engineers, developers, business analysts, claims analysts and project managers with the freedom to create innovative and solutions to address core business challenges with Met Life. This role will provide exemplary customer service by managing total absence claims in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Handle, review, and administer Family & Medical Leave Act / and or Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) claims and adhere to federal and state regulatory and/or company plan requirements. Establish FMLA/ADA workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions.
- Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc.
- Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists.
- High school diploma
- One year of experience in Absence Management Claims
- Experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail. A strong understanding of the ADA/AMS process and background as to what’s required
- Strong customer service skills are a must
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three to five years of FMLA/ADA claims knowledge of process and procedures.
The expected salary range for this position is $47,500*. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.*
