QA Engineering Lead

We’re looking for QA Engineering Leads to work on our core and business products (Instagram, Messenger, Facebook, GenAI, Growth, Engagement, Ads, Privacy) to help shape the future of what we build at Meta. You enjoy solving quality challenges on products built in modern technology serving 2.9 billion people worldwide.

QA Engineering Lead Responsibilities:

Work on building a quality driven engineering environment that helps ship products rapidly and with confidence
Drive the quality for a product/feature, assess risks to and ensure shipping features with a high quality bar
Plan, develop, and execute test strategy across core Meta products and platforms
Lead quality assurance efforts that align with product objectives and develop scalable solutions
Help solve cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute impactful ideas to improve quality
Implement and evolve QA processes to get effective test signal and scale testing efforts across multiple products
Define quality metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the product
Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of product

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of quality assurance and test engineering experience
Experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent coding language
Experience in testing and debugging web or mobile applications
Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience
Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementing and maintaining quality test automation of both client and server systems
Communication, analytical and problem-solving experience
Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools & automation frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Experience in AI/model testing:

Experience in managing black box and white box testing
Demonstrated experience and resourcefulness to improve product coverage and effectiveness
Experience working with medium to large engineering teams
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

United States of America: $113,000/year to $162,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
