High Voltage System Engineer

Objectives:

• China is the most critical and fastest-evolving market for electric mobility, with NEVs entering a large-scale adoption phase and rapidly tightening regulatory requirements, particularly in safety, efficiency, and real-time monitoring.

• In this dynamic environment, Mercedes-Benz continues to strengthen its high-voltage development capabilities in China, focusing on local competence across components, systems, and vehicles.

• While series production of PHEVs and BEVs is established, future programs require stronger localization and validation under China-specific conditions.

• The High-Voltage team drives local development and validation, with a focus on EMC, HV power network, and system architecture, ensuring alignment with domestic trends such as higher integration and cost-efficient designs.

Qualifications:

• Specific Knowledge

• Solid fundamental knowledge of EMC, high-voltage power networks, and HV system architecture, with strong hands-on experience.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle high-voltage systems and components (e.g., battery systems, charging systems).

• Familiarity with measurement and diagnostic equipment such as spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, and VNA is required.

• Experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., CANoe, CANape, DTS Monaco) is preferred.

• Strong project management skills, including planning and organizational capabilities.

• Native-level Chinese with fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

• Strong intercultural competence and communication skills across different hierarchy levels.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Valid driving license.
