Manager, Talent Acquisition

Overview:

  • Mastercard’s Talent Acquisition Team is responsible for developing diverse sourcing strategies to identify and attract the most competitive talent both internally and externally to ensure Mastercard’s continued success in payments innovation.
    This role serves as a Recruitment relationship Lead for Core Payments. As an individual contributor, you will lead full cycle recruiting while acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping align talent strategy with and business priorities.
    The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for talent, a deep curiosity about the payments and product landscape, and the ability to influence hiring outcomes in a fast moving, highly matrixed organization.

Role

  • Lead end to end recruitment for a portfolio of mid to senior level roles across Core Payments, as well as in the Product space.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business priorities, product roadmaps, and strategic hiring needs.
  • Act as a strategic talent advisor, providing insights on talent availability, competitive intelligence, and market trends within payments and product ecosystems.
  • Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies to build diverse, high quality pipelines across core and emerging payment capabilities (e.g., commercial payments, money movement, fintech, and digital platforms).
  • Proactively identify and engage top Product and Payments talent using advanced sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, market mapping, talent intelligence platforms).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define role requirements and refine hiring strategies aligned to product innovation and business growth objectives.
  • Deliver an exceptional, inclusive candidate experience across all stages of the recruitment lifecycle, from initial engagement through offer and onboarding.
  • Partner with People & Capability teams, including People Business Partners, Total Rewards, and Global Mobility, to ensure seamless execution of hiring plans.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track pipeline health, hiring progress, and key metrics (time to fill, conversion rates, etc.), and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Talent Acquisition initiatives, including process improvements, employer branding, and product focused recruiting strategies.

All About You:

  • Proven experience in Talent Acquisition within a global, matrixed organization, with a strong track record recruiting for Product, and Payments roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning hiring strategies to business and product priorities.
  • Strong sourcing expertise with experience building and managing pipelines for highly competitive and niche talent markets.
  • Solid understanding of the payments ecosystem, financial services, fintech, or digital product landscape.
  • Ability to translate market intelligence into actionable hiring strategies and talent insights.
  • Results driven and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and hiring practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Pay Ranges

Purchase, New York: $129,000 - $206,000 USD

O'Fallon, Missouri: $112,000 - $179,000 USD
