Your Team, Your Impact
Marvell's Ser Des and PCIe Application Engineering team is the technical interface for Marvell's Ser Des IP to internal and external customers. The team enables deployment of 112G/224G Ser Des and PCIe Gen6+ technologies into AI infrastructure, data center servers, and high-speed networking applications. We work daily on customer design-wins, solving signal integrity challenges, enabling silicon bring-up, and ensuring interoperability across diverse system architectures.
What You Can Expect Customer Technical Leadership - Serve as primary technical liaison for strategic customers; lead design reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and pre-sales technical support; drive customer engagements from design-in through production ramp
Complex Problem Resolution - Debug and resolve sophisticated customer issues related to Ser Des, PCIe Gen1-Gen6, and high-speed interfaces; perform signal integrity analysis, eye diagram measurements, and electrical characterization using advanced lab equipment
Product Development & Feedback - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (silicon design, firmware, validation, marketing) to drive product roadmap based on customer requirements; provide detailed feedback to influence future product features
Technical Documentation & Training - Develop high-quality application notes, reference designs, user guides, and white papers; deliver technical training to customers, sales engineers, and FAEs
Lab & Validation - Design, build, and bring-up evaluation boards and reference platforms; perform SI/PI simulations; execute protocol compliance testing and interoperability validation
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Field Application Engineers, Sales, Product Marketing, System Validation, and Silicon Development teams to support customer programs and resolve issues
Technical Enablement - Create and maintain knowledge bases, best practices documentation, and test automation tools to improve efficiency and repeatability
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience Or MS and/or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering 3+ years of experience as appliction Engineer
Technical Requirements:

Deep Knowledge of Complex Mixed-Signal IC, Ser Des, Or PCIe - Expert understanding of high-speed Ser Des architecture (TX, RX, PLL/DLL, CDR), equalization techniques (CTLE, DFE, FFE), and PCIe protocols/standards (Gen1-Gen6); strong signal integrity principles

Hands-On Lab Experience - Proficiency with high-speed oscilloscopes, BERT testers, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic/protocol analyzers; ability to perform eye diagram analysis, jitter measurements, and electrical characterization

High-Speed Board Design & Signal Integrity - Understanding of PCB design, SI/PI fundamentals, transmission line theory; ability to read schematics and layouts; knowledge of EMC/EMI principles

Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills - Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to engineers, management, and customers; strong presentation and technical writing capabilities

Customer-Facing Experience - Proven track record building customer relationships; experience interfacing with customer technical teams; comfortable with on-site visits and remote support

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
131,010 - 196,300, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
