As an Associate or Vice President in Sales, you will be responsible for servicing and managing a portfolio of hedge funds and long-only institutional investors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain and develop key institutional client relationships, overseeing day-to-day execution and distribution of all equity products.

Job responsibilities

  • You will need to demonstrate fluency in navigating J.P. Morgan’s global equity products, effectively engaging with a diverse client base including asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, corporations, and hedge funds.

  • You will contribute your own idea generation and market insights, while staying up to date with the latest market developments.

  • You will communicate proactively and efficiently with a wide range of investors—including hedge funds, long-only institutions, CIOs, portfolio managers, and analysts—regarding JPM products, deals, and offerings, with the goal of generating votes and improving our rankings.

  • You will manage client accounts independently and, when necessary, co-manage with other sales partners, ensuring timely communication of client updates and intelligence to internal stakeholders to optimize JPM’s service delivery.

  • You will adopt a collaborative approach, working closely with business partners across trading, research, syndicate, and cross-asset teams to provide comprehensive client coverage, delivering the full capabilities of the firm to maximize the client experience.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience on the equities sell/buyside or corporate finance / capital markets.

  • Possess knowledge of the Philippines Equity market and has an appreciation of the Asia regional product with a view of developing your skills and knowledge.

  • Strong fundamental skills in stockbroking and market commentary.

  • Strong self-starter who demonstrates an ability to learn quickly, multi-task, prioritise and take on responsibilities.

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to perform well under pressure

  • An analytical thinker who has strong attention to detail

  • Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control

  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and clients

  • Understands and adheres to a culture of control, compliance, integrity and ethics within business.

  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
